Ohio Safety Congress & Expo
In March, Renée Onesti was honored to speak at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Ohio Safety Congress & Expo (OSC23) in Columbus, OH. Renée drew from her 20+ years of experience as a safety advocate in manufacturing companies for her presentation titled, “Safety in a Production Driven World.” Her promotion from Engineer to Director of Operations makes her uniquely qualified to share lessons that she learned from both sides of the company.
Renée spoke about the leadership skills needed to help safety professionals communicate, build trust, recognize bias, and prioritize well. Listing the BWC, Safety Councils, networking with neighboring companies, local FD, and TPA & MCO’s as great resources, Renée encouraged attendees to leverage all their resources to help build a robust safety program, training schedule and culture.
Renée was one of 16 presentations live-streamed from the 3-day conference for viewers across Ohio.
The OSC23 had 8,500+ Attendees and Exhibitors, 3 days of networking, 100+ Education Sessions & CEU Credits, and 72,000 square feet of Exhibit & Demo space. It’s one of the best annual safety conferences in the US! We are SO proud that a KEP team member was given the opportunity to share their expertise. Well done, Renée!
